The Police are responsible for missing persons. They have a specialist Search & Rescue (SAR) squad who are called upon to search for the missing person in either rural or urban settings. The SAR squad utilise a variety of search techniques / tools to assist them in locating missing people and one of those tools is the WanderSearch tracking equipment.

Auckland Land Search & Rescue have partnered with WanderSearch Auckland Charitable Trust to enable a complete service for the clients of the program. Volunteers from Auckland Land Search and Rescue search for the clients when they are reported missing. They also assist with swapping the tracking devices which the clients have when they are due for renewal.

Dementia Auckland supports people living with dementia. They understand the stress that looking after a person with Dementia can cause a family and they offer the families and client support in a variety of ways. They support the WanderSearch Auckland tracking program as they know the benefits that it can provide for the family.
