WanderSearch Auckland Charitable Trust relies on philanthropic funding and donations to run the programme. All our devices are issued, at no charge, to people who are living with a cognitive impairment.
Volunteering time
We need volunteers to do tracking device swaps all over Auckland. This involves going into a client’s home or Care Facility and swapping the old tracking device for a new one. You can choose the area you want to cover, generally within 5kms of your home or work. The time commitment is 1 – 4 hours a month.
We would love people to fundraise for us, whether it’s running a sausage sizzle, hosting a workplace fundraiser, having a bake sale or taking on a personal challenge, it all helps. With no government funding your support will make a huge difference to the lives of vulnerable people in your community with a cognitive impairment who wander.

We support people who have a cognitive impairment, and in particular those who are at risk of going missing in the community, to live healthy active lifestyles. This gives peace of mind to their families and loved ones. We support everyone in need; from toddlers to people in their 90’s.
